STROKE SURVIVOR STORY

Robert A Pritchard in 2012 was a football player for the Knights at the University of Central Florida.

Robert’s football days were cut short when he had a massive stroke at age 22. He was left paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair, temporarily. He went through extensive treatment at the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Three years after his stroke he received his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice.

Natalie Pritchard is the proud mom and was the caregiver for her son, Robert Pritchard.

To give back to the medical community and to help others, she served as a Brain Injury Peer Visitor at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia and at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.

Natalie has also established the Robert A. Pritchard Stroke and Health Initiative  to support other organizations who help stroke and brain injury survivors and their caregivers.
